The past month has been pure hell with my personal family life. Two family members having heart surgery, my daughter in the emergency room, another emergency hit my father in law (still in the hospital) and last night my basement was flooded. Apparently my sump pump was jammed causing my french drains to completely fill up causing the entire basement to be soaked (4 inches of water). My photography equipment was saved except my expensive backdrop. So today I spent the entire day getting all the cardboard boxes out to the garbage and using my shop vac to try and suck up the residual. I didnt go to bed last night since I wanted to win the battle. I will be back in action within the next few days.

I hate floods! I used to have this problem in my “old” house. Since then, in our new home, I put these cheap water sensors all around the basement (Just in case).
You can find these water warning sensors at Home Depot for like $10.00 each. They emit a high pitch warning sound when water touch’s the sensors.

Really? I never knew that? Do you know what they are called? Sounds like a nice investment!

Well the time has come to start my personal blog. Wikipedia defines the word blog, a place to provide commentary or news on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. For me this will be a place where I share my experiences with all of you on what is involved behind the scenes of running my website

Ahhhh how awful, hope you get it sorted out, we miss ya
